is nestled safely among North Carolina’s southern Outer Banks.  Its surrounding coves and waters (Newport River to the north, Gallants Channel to the west, and Taylor’s Creek to the south) enable carefree navigation by ship and boat to any destination in the area.  These creeks and waterways empty out into the Atlantic Ocean and one of America’s very few southern-facing coasts.  Locals are universally proud of their ability to watch both the sunrise and sunset over the blue horizon.  Read more…..

Morrow Mountain NC USA

In the spring of 2013, Morrow Mountain comes alive. She begins to show her potential of natural brilliance and vibrancy. The colors are still muted and there is some lingering fall colors of brown, olive, gold and red. The spring colors start to emerge. The most brilliant is blue.
