Spring Colors

Spring is finally peaking its head out from the cold and snowy winter. Budding leaves, greenhouse flowers and various other perennials are showing off their colors.

These pictures are from around the Piedmont North Carolina.

Early Fall Snow in Boone NC

In Boone, NC, the first day of November 2014 was a cold one.  Blowing snow was 6 – 8 inches deep.  The high was below 32 degrees F with a constant 20 mph wind sometimes gusting up to 30+ mph.  At times, there was nearly a white out from the snow.   The ASU football game was monitored from the house on the radio while a few brave souls bared the temperature and winds.

Thanks Boone and Valley Crucis for the warm hospitality and cold weather!
