A crisp morning. Snow on the ground. Slight wind. Dogs to exercise. It couldn’t be a better day for some capturing of memories. I took the camera. One needed to avoid the sudden surprise fall of snow from an overburdened tree limb. Moisture and cameras do not mix.
The dogs had fun. One more so than the other.

Early Fall Snow in Boone NC
In Boone, NC, the first day of November 2014 was a cold one. Blowing snow was 6 – 8 inches deep. The high was below 32 degrees F with a constant 20 mph wind sometimes gusting up to 30+ mph. At times, there was nearly a white out from the snow. The ASU football game was monitored from the house on the radio while a few brave souls bared the temperature and winds.
Thanks Boone and Valley Crucis for the warm hospitality and cold weather!
